Terms of Service

1. Agreement

LightStack Solutions Ltd (“LightStack”, “we”, “us”) operates Retainer AI (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Retainer AI is a mobile application that lets you upload documents and interact with them through AI-powered chat. The Service provides AI-generated responses based on the content of your uploaded documents.

Not professional advice. Responses are generated by AI and may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are solely responsible for how you act on any output. The Service is not a substitute for professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter a contract. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract underlying models or data
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Share your account credentials or let others use your account
• Abuse rate limits or attempt to circumvent usage restrictions
• Interfere with the security or proper functioning of the Service

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of all documents and content you upload. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, process, and index your content solely to provide the Service. We do not use your content for advertising, model training, or any purpose beyond operating the Service for you.

6. Subscriptions & Billing

The Service offers free and premium tiers. Premium subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Subscription terms, pricing, renewal, and refund policies are governed by the respective platform. You may cancel at any time through your device settings.

7. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon deletion, all your documents, conversations, and personal data will be permanently removed (usage records may be retained for audit purposes). We may terminate your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will notify you through the app and ask you to re-accept. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
